Nick Penner from Blumenort, Manitoba, Canada, traveled to Ukraine in May 2024. He initially considered joining the foreign legion but instead did aid work, helping civilians evacuate. He interacted with several fighters from the Sich unit but fled in July 2024 after a short stay.
